Made by Goldsmith Chandlee (1751-1821) around 1795, this tall case clock has been in the Glen Burnie Historic House for
six generations.

 

Note

The MSV galleries will be open for special nighttime tours on select Fridays this fall and winter.

The campus of the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley is composed of a newly opened museum (with galleries, Tea Room, Museum Store, Reception Hall, and Learning Center), the Glen Burnie Historic House, and the gardens.

The museum is open year-round. The house and gardens are open March through November.

Hours for all are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday; closed Mondays and major holidays.

In addition to the standard Monday closings, the museum complex will be closed on the following holidays:

  •  Tuesday, December 25, 2007
  •  Tuesday, January 1, 2008
